Denise A. Thibodeaux is the Clinical Director and founder of The Grove Recovery Center. Formally, Denise was a High School Art Teacher for 10 years in Ascension Parish public schools. She then obtained her Master’s of Education from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2010 in Counselor Education, with an emphasis in Addiction Counseling.
Ms. Thibodeaux is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC).
In addition, Denise holds a License in Addiction Counseling (LAC) and is a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS). Denise has been working in the field of addiction for the last 14 years. She is proudly a co-owner of The Grove Recovery Center.

Denise feels she was led to the field of addiction counseling after she was blessed to find recovery herself 16 years ago. Through what seemed like a hopeless battle, came empathy, experience and knowledge for clients at the Grove.  Denise shares openly and freely with the staff and clients at the Grove, providing them hope that they too can not only recover but find freedom.

In her personal life, Denise is the proud mother of a six-year-old girl, Aidyn, that she adopted at birth. What a blessing for both of us! When Denise is not busy at work, she devotes her entire spare time to experiencing life with her daughter. 🩷
