Carrie Holden Tech / Driver

Carrie was raised in a broken home from a young age. Her mother, a single parent, raised four children and did everything she could to make sure they had what they needed. Although she didn’t begin using drugs and alcohol until her early twenties, once she did, her life quickly spiraled out of control. Addiction took hold of her life and deeply affected the lives of her children, as well as everyone around her.

On March 18, 2022, Carrie entered treatment at The Grove—a place she went to for help but never truly left. What began as a turning point became the foundation for a new life rooted in healing and purpose. In June 2024, she started working for The Grove as a Recovery Advocate, a role that has been nothing short of a blessing.

Carrie can honestly say she is no longer who she used to be—and that is the point. Recovery changed her in ways she never expected, teaching her resilience, humility, and how to love people where they are, including herself. The Grove led her to AA, and AA ultimately brought her back to God
