Karyn Moore Armstrong, MS, PLPC Family Program Director

Karyn is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) that is dedicated to providing mental health counseling services to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Southeastern Louisiana University and went to work as a behavioral therapist for clients on the spectrum for 3 years. Karyn then went back to school to receive her Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University. Karyn is also a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association (LCA), American Counseling Association (ACA), and Chi Sigma Iota (CSI). Karyn specializes in working with adults, adolescents and families with mental health, substance abuse and or behavioral health disorders. Karyn approaches counseling from an eclectic perspective using Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, and Existential therapeutic interventions. As everyone and their experiences are unique, she believes that each counseling session should be tailored to their needs.
In her personal time, Karyn enjoys exercising, shopping, self-care activities, and spending quality time with her friends and family!
