This past weekend, March 17,18,&19, our clinical teams from both our Ascension and Baton Rouge campuses, attended a workshop called Souldrama. The workshop was led by Greg Greer, LMSW, LAC, a close colleague and friend of the Grove.
Souldrama is a method of counseling bringing psychodrama, spirituality and the 12 steps together. This weekend retreat provided an almost indescribable journey with each other, bringing a unity and bonding amongst our Grove family. The clinicians take away effective skills to bring to their own group work while participating in their very own group throughout the weekend. Souldrama emphasizes that through working on self through action methods, one will not only learn effective strategies and establish rapport amongst their coworkers, but allows for oneself to do some work. They say “The best counselors have their own counselors” which proves to be true. By working on yourself, you can truly be free to help someone else.
